Last year, the Center for Media and Dialogue (CMD) successfully hosted the CMD Award 2024, an
inspiring evening that brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, journalists, diplomats, and
community members under one roof. The event highlighted the achievements of Somali-owned
businesses across Europe, while also creating a platform for dialogue, networking, and collaboration. It
was more than just an award ceremony, it became a meeting point where ideas were exchanged,
partnerships were born, and the Somali business community received recognition on an international
stage.
Building on last year’s success, CMD is proud to announce the CMD Business Award 2025, which will
take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Wegastraat 77, 2516 AN, Den Haag, Netherlands. This
year’s edition aims to be even bigger and more impactful, shining a spotlight not only on business
excellence but also on the importance of community growth, resilience, and dialogue.
Our goal this year is to continue honoring outstanding entrepreneurs and professionals while also
expanding the platform for conversation between the business world, policymakers, and media
representatives.
The event will feature an awards ceremony, keynote speeches, networking opportunities, and cultural
moments that celebrate the achievements of the Somali community and its contributions to society at
large.
CMD has been working tirelessly to organize this event, ensuring that it reflects professionalism,

CMD Business Award 2025: Een vervolg op een succesvolle eerste editie
Na het grote succes van de CMD Award 2024 organiseert het Center for Media and Dialogue (CMD)
opnieuw een inspirerende en feestelijke editie in 2025.
Vorig jaar bracht de prijsuitreiking ondernemers, professionals en gemeenschapsleiders samen in een
unieke bijeenkomst waar talent, innovatie en ondernemerschap uit de Somalische gemeenschap in de
schijnwerpers werden gezet.
Het evenement bood niet alleen erkenning voor uitzonderlijke prestaties, maar ook een waardevol
netwerk platform waar ideeën, ervaringen en samenwerkingen werden gedeeld.
Op basis van de positieve reacties en de energie die het evenement in 2024 losmaakte, heeft CMD
besloten dit jaar nog groter en sterker terug te keren.
